I'm excited to introduce the Belize Tourism Futures (BTF) Project, launching in February 2024. This initiative, a blend of webinars, podcasts, and blogs on important topics in travel and tourism, is designed to enhance skills and spark innovation in Belize's tourism sector.
BTF was born from my lifelong commitment of using tourism as a tool for economic development in Belize and it is made possible through an Emergent Ventures grant from the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Leading Belizean companies like Belizing and the Lodge at Chaa Creek are championing this initiative, partnering to amplify our reach and catalyze innovation across Belize's tourism landscape.
Empowering Belize's Tourism Professionals
BTF is designed for emerging and mid-career professionals within the tourism sector, including business owners, managerial staff, and frontline employees.
The goal is to familiarize participants with groundbreaking strategies, enhancing professional capabilities and fostering innovative, creative thinking processes.
