I think the most immediate issue is the runway at PGIA is too short for the typical long range European jets, and we probably don't have the infrastructure to deal with passengers that arrive at 6pm from Europe and want to leave close to midnight. And nowadays, nobody wants to transit in Miami. BTB has been visiting Europe, will be interesting to see what comes of that. I really enjoy your work, keep it coming.
Good point! I hadn’t considered the runway limitations at PGIA. I was mainly thinking about capturing Europeans who are already in the region — those flying into Guatemala or Mexico and moving around by land or local flights. Direct flights from Europe would be ideal long-term, but attracting travelers who are already nearby seems like the more achievable first step. In the end, Belize needs to explore every pathway that helps grow the pie and diversify the market.
